Rainbow Bridge

At 12:45 this afternoon, I said goodbye to my sweet Moses — another (like all of my cats) foster fail. I could never let them go.

Fourteen years ago, he was rescued as a very young kitten, found among the tall reeds in a pond. I don’t know if he was in a basket, but someone clever named him Moses anyway.

He was the first one to dive into every Christmas tree and occupy every spot in the house that would normally be deemed too small for a cat. “If if fits, I sits,” he would probably say.

He was loving and full of personality and expected unending scritches and pets from everyone. I’ll miss you, buddy. I hope I gave you a good life. I know you gave me one.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. I wouldn’t make a good foster either. I fall in love too fast. Love the way he got his name. He was a very lucky boy! Hugs.

  4. I’m so sorry. They choose us as much as we choose them so I’m sure the life he had with you, sheltered in love, was wonderful and provided what he needed just as he provided what you needed. Keeping you in my thoughts.
